Cranksgiving is a food drive on two wheels. Part bike ride, part scavenger hunt benefiting the Goodman Community Center. All you need is a bicycle, a few $ and a bag to carry your food purchases. Whatever food you purchase from participating stores, BBC will match up to $1,000 cash donation.

Cranksgiving Works This Way
  • On Sunday Nov 24 at 10:30, riders gather on the steps of the state capitol and receive a list of food items to be found and purchased at a list of area grocery stores
  • Bring a bike bag/backpack and a bike lock
  • Bike the streets and paths of this fine city collecting said grocery items
  • Stop at the many pop-up gathering places for a variety of snacks and drinks to fuel the hunt
  • Finally, drop off the purchased food goods at the Goodman Community Center on the east side
Here's how the BBC Part Will Work
  • Before the event, save the following information on where to send receipts:

  • The day of, you send pictures of your receipts by email or text, including your name so we can verify BBC membership
  • After the event, we gather at an area watering hole where anybody who sent a receipt gets a free drink on BBC
  • At the end of the day, BBC sends a check to Goodman Community Center showing how awesome and generous BBC members are
