HomeZwift Joining a BBC Ride

 

The BBC Zwift season begins just after the last scheduled outdoor ride, from Nov 27, 2024 to Mar 15, 2025The rides for each week are posted every Monday on the Zwift Companion app, select Club BBC MadisonWe use a Discord Channel so you can talk with other BBC Zwifters during the rides.

 

The Wed and Sat rides use Keep Together mode. Sunday Challenge rides are hillier and Keep Together mode is not enabled:

 Sat 9 am  1 hr On
Sun 9 am  1-1.5 hr Off

Signing Up For a BBC Zwift Ride

To join any BBC ride, you must sign up for the ride before the start time.

  • From the Zwift Companion app, Select Clubs then BBC Madison:

 

 

  • Using the   CLUB EVENTS   left/right arrow, select the BBC Event you intend to ride. You'll now see the Event's Date, Route, Duration etc.:


 

 

  • You must select   next to AVG W/kg (We use Category E, 1.0 - 5.0 W/kg). The + button changes to a check mark. Select again if you want to remove yourself from the Event

 


Riding a BBC Zwift Event

Its good practice to be on your trainer 20 min early to check everything is working and for a warm up.

  • Optionally start the Discord app on your phone, tablet etc, or from a web browser select here
    • Select Bombay Bicycle Club, Voice Channels, General

 
  • Start the Zwift App. It will automatically pair with your smart trainer, heart rate and cadence etc. sensors

  • Select the BBC Club Event or any ride you want to use to warmup:

  • Selec RID and start pedaling. About 5 minutes before the start time, a  JOIN EVENT  button pops up at the lower left. Select it to be transported to the BBC Meetup route with the other BBC riders

 


  • At the designated start time, we're off. The ride will end automatically when the distance or time is complete. From  MENU  end your ride and  SAVE  to Strava, Garmin, TrainingPeaks etc.
