Bombay Bicycle Club of Madison, WI

The club is open to all.  We sponsor leisure rides throughout the year.  In addition to our ride schedule, we offer an endurance training series, BCETs (Bombay Challenge Event Training series), that prepares riders for events like the Horrible Hilly Hundred and the Dairyland Dare. At the end of the season, we also host the Wright Stuff Century Ride, our traditional fund raiser for the club.

Our rides are rated so you can tell if it is a flat, moderately hilly or hilly ride. We usually offer a short and long route. To join a ride, you will need to wear a helmet (required for all our rides) and sign a liability waiver. We provide the camaraderie and a cue sheet. There are no fees per ride unless specifically mentioned in the schedule.

History

The Bombay Bicycle Club of Madison, Inc. started in 1974 with Sunday morning rides and activities. Membership is voluntary, but we urge all riders who participate in club rides and activities to help support the club by becoming a member.

2009 BBC Survey Results

Every 2 or 3 years, Bombay surveys its members for feedback on rides, club policies, etc. Our latest survey also went out to the general bicycling community, soliciting comments from ex-members and non-members as well as current members. You can see the full results of the survey here:
